China Advances Export-Control Updates Covering 40 Technology Categories

China continued work on proposed revisions to its export-control catalogue, covering approximately 40 technology categories, including areas such as artificial intelligence, biopharmaceuticals and solar technology. The consultation process is scheduled to run until 15 November, while interim registration requirements apply to certain covered technology exports. The developments create demand for export-control assessments, licensing support, trade-compliance audits and legal advisory services for technology manufacturers and international trading companies; no implementation contract value was disclosed.
